What is DeadlyProbes?
A short-video social network, like TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Instagram, where all content is recorded by people. Its motto: no AI, nothing synthetic.
Why is it called that?
“Deadly probes” is the name of the Berserker scenario in astrophysics: self-replicating probes that silence every civilization they find. The synthetic content and bot swarms flooding today's open networks are those probes. The name points to the threat; DeadlyProbes is the human refuge.
When is it coming out, and on which platforms?
On iOS and Android. The release date will be announced on the homepage of this website. The App Store and Google Play badges will be activated at that point.
How do you know a video was recorded by a person?
Accounts pass a proof of personhood and videos are recorded with the phone's camera from within the app. Anything that looks synthetic can be reported and is reviewed. The technical details will be published at launch. Everything about your data is on the privacy page.
How do I contact support?
The support channel will be published here together with the app. In the meantime this website is informational and collects no data.
